Viscgo Limited was founded by Dr Elizabeth Boaden and Steven Bookbinder to design, develop and deliver innovative devices and technology to improve the management of dysphagia for people with dysphagia, carers, clinicians and dysphagia practitioners.

Liz Boaden is a Fellow of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and a Senior Research Fellow at a UK University. She is an honorary lecturer at post-graduate level on specialist and advanced dysphagia courses at four universities, as well as presenting at national conferences. Liz is co-author of Swallowing Guidelines: Individualised Programmes of Care and lead researcher and co-author of the Inter-professional Dysphagia Framework. Liz is a founding tutor and lecturer of the internationally-renowned Manchester Post Basic Dysphagia Course. Liz received a doctorate in recognition of her programme of work entitled “Improving the identification and management of aspiration after stroke”. Liz was Chair of the RCSLT IDDSI Expert Advisory Group and Co-Chair of the IDDSI External Reference Group. A recognised dysphagia expert, Liz ensures that Viscgo’s products meet the needs of people with dysphagia, carers, clinicians and dysphagia practitioners.
